Born: 17 May 1977 in Winston-Salem, North Carolina
Killed in Action: 15 Nov 2003 (aged 26) in Baghdad, Iraq
Buried: Center Church Graveyard, Cumberland County, Pennsylvania

SGT Timothy Hayslett, HHC, 1-37 AR, was killed in action at age 26 on 15 November 2003. He died while on patrol in Baghdad when an IED exploded overhead on a bridge as his HMMWV passed underneath. Tim was from Newville, PA, a small town in the Susquehanna Valley. With eight years in service already, he was planning a career in the Army. He was survived by his wife, Kori, two young daughters, his parents, two brothers and a sister. Hayslett rests today in the Center Church Graveyard, Cumberland County, Pennsylvania. He is also commemorated at the West Pennsboro Township Park and on a portion of a local highway named in his honor.
