On the night of 8 August 2006, Cobra Team, TF Bandits executed a night mission in south central Ramadi, Iraq. On the way back to Combat Outpost Spear as their column passed through an intersection, Al Qaeda in Iraq insurgents detonated a massive IED under the First Sergeant’s truck. The blast took the lives of 1SG Aaron D. Jagger, SPC Ignacio N. Ramirez, and SPC Shane W. Woods.
