PFC Ricky Salas, Jr., C/2-37 AR was killed in action in Talafar, Iraq on this day in 2006.  Salas died in an IED attack that wounded four other Soldiers. He enlisted in the Army in March 2005 wanting to be a better provider for his family and to see the world. Besides his parents, Salas left behind a young family he adored including his wife, April, a three-year-old daughter, Jordan and a one-year-old son, Jared.
